Founded

Komms-Haus was established in Adelaide in 2011. For fifteen years we have worked with government agencies, royal commissions, NGOs, and organisations that require information design at the standard the subject demands.

Method

We work consultatively. We begin by understanding the information — what it is, who needs to receive it, and what they need to do with it. The design follows from that analysis. We do not apply a visual style to content; we design a system for it.

Languages

We work in English, Arabic, Persian (Farsi), and Kurdish (Sorani). Our RTL capability is technical as well as typographic — we design and develop in RTL scripts, not only translate into them.

Scale

Komms-Haus is a small studio. We take on a limited number of engagements each year. Every project is handled by the senior team.
